Twins 9, White Sox 2
: Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer during a five-run fourth inning and P.J. Walters tossed his first career complete game as Minnesota continued its dominance against Gavin Floyd.

Walter (2-1), making just his seventh major-league start, kept the White Sox in check until the ninth. He allowed two runs and five hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Josh Willingham and Alexi Casilla drove in two runs apiece for the Twins, who improved to 5-1 on their eight-game road trip.

Chicago grabbed an early lead as Gordon Beckham belted a solo home run in the first. But Floyd (3-5), who had lost each of his previous seven starts against Minnesota, was unable to buck the trend.

The Twins rallied for four runs in the second as Casilla delivered a two-run double before Jamey Carroll and Denard Span contributed RBI singles. Willingham added a two-run single in the fourth and Morneau followed with his sixth blast of the season to end the night for Floyd, who surrendered nine runs and eight hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Paul Konerko returned to the lineup and went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Chicago, which had its four-game winning streak snapped. Konerko missed two games with swelling above his left eye after being hit by a pitch Friday.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Minnesota designated RH Jason Marquis for assignment on Tuesday. The veteran went 2-4 with an 8.47 ERA in seven starts. RH Cole DeVries was recalled from Triple-A Rochester to fill the roster spot. ... Hours after signing a contract for the remainder of the season, INF Orlando Hudson made his debut with the White Sox on Tuesday. The former All-Star, recently released by San Diego, entered the game as a defensive replacement at third base in the eighth inning before singling and scoring in the ninth. ... Floyd fell to 4-11 lifetime against Minnesota.
