Marlins 4, Mets 3 (15): Nick Green’s second sacrifice fly of the game plated Justin Ruggiano with the winning run in the bottom of the 15th inning as Miami rallied to beat New York.

Rob Brantly singled home the tying run for his third hit before Green lifted a pitch by Shaun Marcum (0-2) to left field to win the 5-hour, 31-minute game. Ruben Tejada, who had three hits, put New York ahead 3-2 in to the top of the 15th with an RBI infield single off winning pitcher Jon Rauch (1-2).

John Buck hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to stake the Mets to a 2-1 lead. It held up until the bottom of the ninth when Ruggiano (three hits) led off with a double and later scored on Green’s sacrifice fly as Mets closer Bobby Parnell blew his second save.

Mets starter Matt Harvey gave up a season-high seven hits over 5 1/3 innings, but allowed only one run and struck out seven. The right-hander threw a career-high 121 pitches and could not gain his fifth victory to equal the franchise record for wins in April.

Juan Pierre singled up the middle to lead off the third inning, moved to third on Donovan Solano’s base hit and scored on Giancarlo Stanton’s double-play grounder. Stanton went down with a right hamstring injury while running to first base in the 10th and was placed on the 15-day disabled list after the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mets 3B David Wright did not start because of neck stiffness, but came on as a pinch hitter in the 13th and struck out. Justin Turner, who replaced him in the starting lineup, had three hits. … Miami starter Jose Fernandez allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, matching the shortest outing in his rookie season. … It was Buck’s ninth homer, which equals the Mets club record for the month of April. He shares the mark with Carlos Delgado (2006) and Dave Kingman (1976).
