Giants 5, Athletics 2:
Pablo Sandoval and Brandon Belt drove in two runs apiece during a four-run sixth inning and host San Francisco snapped Oakland’s six-game winning streak.

Former Athletic Barry Zito (4-3) threw 117 pitches over six innings of one-run ball and worked around a season-high six walks for the Giants, who lost the first three games of the home-and-home interleague series. Sergio Romo retired Oakland in order in the ninth for his 14th save.

A.J. Griffin (5-4) allowed one hit over the first five innings and the Athletics led 1-0 before pinch hitter Brett Pill singled to lead off the sixth. Brandon Crawford doubled with one out before the Giants pulled ahead on Sandoval’s two-run single to center field.

Hideki Okajima replaced Griffin and allowed Belt’s two-run double before Andres Torres flied out to end the sixth. The Giants added a run in the seventh when Nick Noonan hit a leadoff single and came around to score on shortstop Adam Rosales’ throwing error.

Coco Crisp gave Oakland an early lead with an RBI single in the second and Yoenis Cespedes singled in a run in the seventh to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. Crisp had three hits for the Athletics, who lost for the second time in their last 13 contests.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oakland fell to 8-12 in afternoon games - compared to 23-12 in night contests. … Giants CF Angel Pagan missed his fifth straight game with a strained right hamstring. 2B Marco Scutaro was scratched with flu-like symptoms. … San Francisco improved to 7-0 when Zito starts at AT&T Park this season.
