Athletics 7, Angels 1: Stephen Vogt belted a two-run homer and Tommy Milone tossed 6 2/3 strong innings as visiting Oakland salvaged the finale of the three-game series.

Yoenis Cespedes recorded three hits and drove in two runs while Coco Crisp went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Athletics, who completed a 5-4 road trip. Milone (4-3) allowed one run and six hits as he improved to 4-0 during his seven-start unbeaten streak and 6-2 lifetime against Los Angeles.

Albert Pujols and Collin Cowgill had two hits apiece while Josh Hamilton plated the lone run for the Angels, who had their five-game winning streak snapped. Jered Weaver (7-5) surrendered four runs and six hits over 5 1/3 frames as he lost for the second time in three starts - both versus the Athletics.

Oakland got on the board in the third when Crisp hit a one-out double and moved to third on a groundout before scoring on Cespedes' single. The lead lasted only an inning as Mike Trout led off the fourth for the Angels with a double and raced home on Hamilton's two-base hit two batters later.

The Athletics moved back in front in the sixth, chasing Weaver in the process. Cespedes hit a leadoff double and scored on Jed Lowrie's sacrifice fly two batters later, and Vogt followed with a two-run blast to make it 4-1.
