Trail Blazers 95, Hornets 94: Damian Lillard hit the tiebreaking 3-point basket with 0.3 seconds left as host Portland handed New Orleans its seventh consecutive loss.

Lillard scored 16 points and his decisive shot came after the Trail Blazers blew a 12-point fourth-quarter lead. J.J. Hickson had 24 points and 16 rebounds, LaMarcus Aldridge tallied 20 points and Nicolas Batum had 11 points, 10 assists, five steals and five blocks for Portland, which won its third straight game.

Ryan Anderson scored 26 points and went 7-of-10 from 3-point range for the Hornets. Greivis Vasquez had 23 points and 11 assists and Anthony Davis scored 15 points.

New Orleans trailed by 12 points before staging an impressive fourth-quarter rally. The Hornets finally caught the Trail Blazers at 92-92 on a 3-pointer by Austin Rivers with 50.3 seconds to play. Lance Thomas scored a meaningless basket at the buzzer after Lillard’s game-winning hoop.

Aldridge had 14 first-half points as Portland took a 54-43 halftime lead. The Trail Blazers led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter and took a 75-63 advantage into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Aldridge left the contest with 25.8 seconds left after apparently injuring an ankle. … New Orleans signed F Dominic McGuire earlier Sunday and McGuire had three points in 11 minutes. … Trail Blazers G Wesley Matthews (hip) started but left the contest after playing just four minutes. Matthews missed Portland’s previous two games.
