Trail Blazers 92, Heat 90: Wesley Matthews hit the decisive 3-point basket with 26.9 seconds left as host Portland recovered from a 13-point halftime deficit to stun Miami.

Matthews tied the score with a 3-pointer with 56 seconds left and Miami’s Chris Bosh put the Heat back ahead with 43 seconds remaining. Then Matthews drained the winning hoop as part of an 18-point effort as the Trail Blazers won their fifth straight game.

Bosh scored 29 points but Miami’s last-ditch shot was taken by Mario Chalmers, who rimmed out an open 3-pointer at the buzzer. LeBron James had just 15 points as his streak of consecutive 20-point games to start a season ended at 33.

Nicolas Batum scored 28 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Portland, which trailed 82-72 with 6:26 to play. The late-game push started with 10 straight points before being culminated by Matthews’ clutch shot.

Miami rolled off 10 straight points in the first quarter to take a lead that lasted until the final half-minute. The Heat led 52-39 at the break and 68-63 entering the final quarter.
