Raptors 100, Knicks 98: Rudy Gay scored 26 of his 32 points in the second half as host Toronto sent New York to its season-high fourth consecutive loss.
DeMar DeRozan added 18 points and six assists and Kyle Lowry had 15 points for the Raptors, who improved to 23-33 to match last season's win total. Toronto has won the last three meetings with New York.
Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points for the Knicks but misfired on a 3-pointer that would have tied it in the final 10 seconds. J.R. Smith added 19 points and fellow reserve Amar'e Stoudemire scored 14 for New York, which has lost five of its last six.
After a quiet first half, Gay came to life to score 17 points in the third quarter and help the Raptors claim a 79-70 lead going into the fourth.
The Knicks charged back and regained the lead at 88-86 on Smith's basket with 6:09 left, but they didn't lead again as Gay scored nine points in the final 3:53, including three free throws in the last 21 seconds to seal it.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Anthony (17,203) surpassed Chris Webber (17,182) for 77th on the NBA's all-time scoring list. … Toronto PF Amir Johnson failed to record a block, snapping a career-best streak of 15 consecutive games with at least one. … Raptors SG Terrence Ross did not dress because of a bout of stomach flu.
