Klay Thompson scored 16 points, and host Washington State jumped to a 30-point halftime lead and cruised to an 84-36 victory Tuesday over Sacramento State.

Thompson, the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Week, made 3-of-6 3-pointers before resting in the second half. Faisal Aden and Brock Motum each scored 11 points for Washington State (5-0), which is the last remaining undefeated Pac-10 team. Eleven players scored for the Cougars, who led 47-17 at halftime.

Sacramento State (2-4) shot 15 of 47 (31.9 percent) from the field and made 1 of 15 3-point attempts. Josh McCarver, Antoine Proctor, and Sultan Toles-Bey each scored eight points for the Hornets, whose previous three losses were by an average of 4.3 points.

Thompson and Aden, both juniors, entered the game averaging 23.8 and 23.3 points, respectively. The duo were the top two scorers among Pac-10 players entering Tuesday’s games.
