DeAndre Liggins finished with a career-high 19 points as No. 16 Kentucky pulled away in the final minutes for an 81-62 victory over rival Indiana Saturday in Lexington, Ky.
Indiana (7-2) took its final lead of the evening at 57-56 on a 3-pointer by Christian Watford with 9:42 remaining, but the Hoosiers scored just five points the rest of the way. Kentucky pulled back ahead on a 3-pointer by Liggins at the 8:04 mark, the start of a game-ending 25-5 run.
Kentucky (7-2) turned the ball over just six times against a normally tough Indiana defense, and the Wildcats also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Hoosiers 45-33.
Josh Harrellson finished with 14 points and 12 boards for Kentucky, while fellow freshman Brandon Knight hit all 10 of his free-throw attempts en route to an 18-point effort.
The Wildcats shot just 36 percent from the floor but made up the difference at the foul line, where it outscored Indiana by a 31-12 margin.
Watford paced the Hoosiers with 19 points and nine rebounds.
