Darius Johnson-Odom and freshman Vander Blue each had 16 points as Marquette rolled to an 82-51 victory over Centenary on Saturday.
Jimmy Butler added 10 points and 12 rebounds for Marquette (8-3), which put four players in double figures. The balanced attack helped the Golden Eagles bounce back from a tough loss to in-state rival Wisconsin. That 69-64 loss was one of three Marquette has suffered by five points or less.
Marquette never had to sweat in this one, however. The Gentlemen (0-12), who are dropping down to Division III next season, barely put up a fight.
Marquette opened the game on a 17-6 run and led 36-24 at the half after Jamail Jones drilled a 3-pointer with four seconds left.
Maxx Nakwaasah scored 17 points for the Gentlemen, who shot just 37 percent from the floor (20 of 54) and 35 percent (8 of 23) from the free-throw line.
