Kansas State followed a resounding defeat with another blowout victory.
Jacob Pullen scored 26 points to lead the fifth-ranked Wildcats to an 85-61 victory over Emporia State on Monday.
Pullen hit four three-pointers and added five assists and four steals for the Wildcats (6-1).
Kansas State has won two straight since an 82-68 loss to No. 1 Duke last Tuesday in the final of the CBE Classic.
Pullen and Freddy Asprilla teamed up to outscore Emporia State (3-3) by themselves in the first half. Pullen had 20 points and Asprilla 10, as the Wildcats took a 46-27 lead at half.
Pullen passed Steve Henson on the schools three-point shooting list in the first half. Henson made 240 three-pointers during his time with the Wildcats in the 1980s.
Asprilla had 17 points and eight rebounds for Kansas State while Rodney McGruder also had 17 points.
Xavier Burnette scored 18 points, Jordan Stout had 15 and Adam Holthaus 10 for Emporia State, which had already faced one of the Big 12’s best this year, losing an exhibition game to No. 4 Kansas 90-59.
