Kemba Walker had 18 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists and third-seeded Connecticut routed No. 14 seed Bucknell 81-52 on Thursday in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Connecticut (27-9) showed no signs of fatigue after last week's five-game run to the Big East tournament title, shooting 48.5 percent (32 for 66) from the field and hitting nine 3-pointers while committing only five turnovers.
The Huskies built a 39-22 halftime lead and broke it open with a 34-10 run to open the second half.
Roscoe Smith added 17 points and six rebounds, Jeremy Lamb scored 16 points and Alex Oriakhi had nine points and 13 rebounds for Connecticut, which will face Big East rival Cincinnati on Saturday in the third round of the West Regional.
Connecticut pulled down 41 rebounds, compared to Bucknell's 20. The Bison had just one offensive rebound.
The Bison (25-9) struggled at the offensive end, shooting 31.4 percent (16 for 51). Mike Muscala scored 14 points and Bryson Johnson added 11 to lead Bucknell.
