Jared Sullinger had a double-double in the first half and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 3 Ohio State to an 85-41 victory over visiting Jackson State on Friday.
Sullinger had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the first half, which ended with the Buckeyes (3-0) leading 46-17. Sullinger, who saw limited action in the second half, recorded his 19th career double-double three games into his sophomore season.
Jackson State's (4-0) first meeting with Ohio State quickly turned into a forgettable night. The Tigers took an 11-10 lead at the 14:01 mark, but Ohio State ended the half with a 36-6 run.
Jackson State committed 16 first half turnovers, which the Buckeyes turned into 23 points. Eleven players scored in the half for Ohio State, which has 25 consecutive wins at home.
The Tigers had already suffered lopsided losses to No. 8 Florida and to No. 12 Baylor.
Jackson State was led by Kelsey Howard, who scored 17 points. Jenirro Bush, who came into the game averaging 14.7 points, was held to six as the Tigers finished with 26 turnovers and six assists.
William Buford, Deshaun Thomas and Jordan Sibert scored 11 points apiece for the Buckeyes.
