Doron Lamb scored 17 of his game-high 26 points in the first half, leading No. 2 Kentucky to a 85-47 blowout win over Penn State in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.

Terrence Jones had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Kyle Wiltjer added 19 points off the bench for the Wildcats (3-0), who will move on to face the winner of the Old Dominion-South Florida matchup.

Kentucky led 47-15 at halftime, holding Penn State (3-1) without a field goal for an 11-minute stretch and going on a 25-2 run that put the game out of reach before the second half even began.

Lamb’s layup with 10:35 left in the first started the spurt, and Wiltjer’s 3-pointer with 36 seconds remaining ended it, giving the Wildcats a commanding 47-13 edge.

Kentucky’s lead ballooned to 40 in the second half when Eloy Vargas found Wiltjer for an open layup to go up 80-40 with 6:17 left.

Tim Frazier had 11 points and seven assists to lead the overmatched Nittany Lions, who shot 16 percent from the field in the first half and 27 percent for the game. Kentucky shot 54 percent and made 10 3-pointers.

Penn State moved to 1-10 all-time against teams ranked second in the country.
