Jordan Taylor scored half of his 14 points during a critical closing surge as No. 15 Wisconsin pulled out a 60-54 road win against in-state rival Milwaukee.
After the Panthers used a furious 21-4 run to tie the game at 48, the Badgers (9-2) regained the upper hand for good on a 3-pointer by Jared Berggren with 4:43 remaining.
Taylor netted Wisconsin's next seven points, including a back-breaking 3-pointer with 41 seconds on the clock.
Berggren, who led the way for the Badgers with 17 points and 10 rebounds, connected on three of four shots from long range. Ryan Evans added 16 points and eight boards.
Tony Meier finished with 15 points for Milwaukee (8-3), which turned the ball over just four times but was held to 38 percent shooting. The Panthers missed 17 of their 22 3-point attempts.
