Ryan Evans scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half, helping No. 25 Wisconsin to hold on for a 57-50 home Big Ten win over No. 17 Indiana.
The Badgers (17-5, 6-3 Big Ten) did not make a single shot from the floor in the final 6:44 but held on thanks to a 12-for-12 effort from the foul line in the second half and a defense that held the visitors scoreless down the stretch after a jumper by Christian Watford brought Indiana within one, 51-50, with 2:09 remaining.
Wisconsin kept the ball away from the Hoosiers (16-5, 4-5) in the closing minutes, with Ben Brust and Ryan Evans snatching back-to-back offensive rebounds to extend a 66-second possession that ended at the 1:03 mark with Evans hitting two of his eight free throws.
Another offensive carom by Mike Bruesewitz with 22 seconds to go helped the Badgers seal the victory, their ninth in a row against Indiana.
Brust hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, leading four Wisconsin players scoring in double figures. Watford and Verdell Jones III contributed 12 points apiece for the Hoosiers, but Jones did not score in the second half after 6-of-7 shooting in the opening period.
