Rob Edwards had 13 points, Kimani Lawrence tied a season high with 11 points, and Romello White grabbed 16 rebounds for the Sun Devils (14-8, 5-4 Pac-12). Arizona State has won four of its past five games.

Cody Riley had 16 points, Tyger Campbell had 13 points, and Chris Smith had nine points and eight rebounds for the Bruins (12-11, 5-5). UCLA had won four of five, but it lost its fourth straight in the series.

Arizona State made a season-high 14 3-pointers (on 24 attempts), getting three treys from four different players. The Sun Devils entered the game last in the Pac-12 and 304th among the 350 NCAA Division I schools with a .305 3-point shooting percentage.

Verge hit a pair of 3-pointers and Martin had five points including the first of his two threes as the Sun Devils increased an 11-point halftime edge to a 53-35 lead with 12 1/2 minutes remaining. UCLA, which made one field goal in the first 7:52 of the second half, never was closer than 13 the rest of the way.

UCLA played without 6-foot-10 center Jalen Hill, its leading rebounder (7.1 per game) and second-leading scorer (9.9 point per game). Hill sustained a right knee injury in practice Wednesday, a UCLA spokesman said. Riley started in his place.

Lawrence made two 3-pointers and Thomas hit three threes as the Sun Devils sank five of their first six long-distance attempts for a 28-17 lead. UCLA countered with a 10-0 run fueled by 3-pointers from Campbell and David Singleton.

Lawrence's third 3-pointer ended a nearly five-minute scoring drought for the Sun Devils, and Edwards added two threes in the final four minutes to make it a 39-28 at half. Arizona State made 8 of 10 first-half 3-poit attempts.
