Michael Flowers bombed in four 3-pointers en route to 22 points and Washington State won at Stanford for the first time in 11 years, holding on for a 66-60 victory on Thursday night.

Flowers and Tyrell Roberts combined for six 3-pointers -- one fewer than the Cardinal's team total -- in helping the Cougars (13-7, 6-3 Pac-12) snap a seven-game losing streak at Stanford that extended back to January 2011. Washington State also fell against Stanford at Santa Cruz, Calif., last year when the Cardinal were forced out of their home due to pandemic regulations.

Spencer Jones scored a game-high 24 points for Stanford (13-8, 6-5), which lost for just the second time in 11 home games this season.

In avenging a 62-57 home loss to the Cardinal last month, Washington State never trailed.

Holding Stanford to 3-for-16 shooting on 3-pointers in the first half, the Cougars ran out to a 33-21 lead at the break, before extending it to as many as 16 on Flowers' 3-pointer with 8:04 to go.

Seeking a fourth win in their last five games, the Cardinal used a 14-3 run fueled by 3-pointers from Jones and Isa Silva to close within 60-55 with 4:59 remaining.

But Flowers bombed in his fourth 3-pointer and the Cougars held the Cardinal without a point for the next 3:12, stalling the rally and paving the way for Washington State's fourth consecutive win.

Stanford did manage to get within 63-60 in the final minute and had a shot at a tie, but Silva misfired on a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left. Efe Abogidi then buried three of four free throws to ice the Cougars' win.

Flowers also found time for a game-high five assists for Washington State, which outshot the hosts 49.0 percent to 39.0 percent.

Roberts backed Flowers in the scoring column for the Cougars with 12 points, while Mouhamed Gueye collected a team-high nine rebounds to complement eight points.

Jones shot 10-for-14 overall and 4-for-8 on 3-pointers for Stanford, which went just 7-for-31 on 3-pointers.

The Cardinal's James Keefe led all rebounders with 10.
