Gabe Madsen and Rollie Worster added 11 points for Utah (10-16, 3-13 Pac-12), which closed the game on a 12-2 burst to improve to 1-9 in away games. Marco Anthony collected 12 rebounds as the Utes won for just the second time in their past 14 games overall.

Jaiden Delaire and James Keefe scored 11 points apiece for Stanford (15-11, 8-8), which lost for the third time in the past four games. Brandon Angel added 10 points for the Cardinal.

Stanford led 54-48 before Utah rattled off 11 consecutive points as part of its game-ending run.

Carlson's dunk with 4:57 left started the burst, and Worster's steal led to Gach's layup with 3:10 remaining. Carlson converted the tying layup with 2:46 to play.

Madsen knocked down a 3-pointer to give the Utes their first second-half lead at 57-54 with 1:42 remaining, and Gach added two free throws with 29.4 seconds left.

Angel ended a streak of six straight Stanford misses by dunking with 16.9 seconds to play. Madsen missed the front end of a one-and-one with 15.5 seconds left, but Maxime Reynaud's 3-point attempt for the Cardinal was errant with five seconds to go.

Worster split two free throws with 3.8 seconds left to seal Utah's victory.

Stanford shot 36.2 percent from the field and made 8 of 30 (26.7 percent) from 3-point range.

The Utes connected on 40 percent of their shots and were 6 of 16 (37.5 percent) from behind the arc.

Angel scored eight first-half points and Stanford led 28-21 at the break. Utah didn't have a single assist in the first half and ended up with six on 22 baskets.

The Utes led 17-16 after Anthony's jumper with 6:05 left in the half. Angel followed by scoring the first five points of a 9-0 run as the Cardinal opened up an eight-point advantage.

After halftime, Isa Silva and Spencer Jones made back-to-back 3-pointers to give Stanford a 41-32 edge with 13:36 remaining.
