Stampeders 24, Redblacks 14: Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns as host Calgary pulled away from Ottawa in the fourth quarter to remain unbeaten.

Mitchell completed 19-of-35 passes while Don Jackson rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown to help the Stampeders improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2014. Kamar Jorden caught five passes for 76 yards and a TD while Eric Rogers finished with five receptions for 57 yards and a score.

Trevor Harris was limited to 135 yards on 13-of-29 passing for the Redblacks, who have dropped five straight meetings in Calgary. Greg Ellingson hauled in six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown while William Powell added 123 yards on the ground as Ottawa fell to 1-1 on the season.

Lewis Ward booted a 39-yard field goal to put the Redblacks in front 3-0 in a low-scoring first quarter and tacked on a 28-yard kick early in the second to double the lead. Micah Johnson picked off a pass by Harris to set up Rogers' 5-yard touchdown catch a few plays later, which gave Calgary a 7-6 edge at intermission.

Richie Leone's punt single brought Ottawa back on level terms before Rene Paredes converted a 22-yard field-goal attempt with 34 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Stampeders a 10-7 advantage. A goal-line stand early in the fourth swung the momentum in Calgary's favour as Jorden hauled in a 32-yard touchdown pass and Jackson rumbled 6 yards for a score to put the Stampeders ahead 24-7 before Ellingson caught a 9-yard consolation TD toss from Dominique Davis with 2:32 remaining.
