Roughriders 40, Stampeders 27: Zach Collaros threw for 270 yards while Nick Marshall scored a touchdown on both offence and defence as Saskatchewan handed visiting Calgary its first loss of the season.

Collaros completed 25-of-34 passes, including 10 to Jordan Williams-Lambert for 152 yards as the Roughriders (4-4) ended their five-game home losing streak against the Stampeders. Brett Lauther kicked six field goals and Samuel Eguavoen added a special-teams score for Saskatchewan, which produced its highest scoring output of the season.

Bo Levi Mitchell was 22-of-36 for 275 yards and four touchdowns while Romar Morris gained 70 yards on the ground for the Stampeders (7-1), who had won 11 of their previous 12 meetings with the Roughriders. DaVaris Daniels caught five passes for 83 yards and a pair of TDs while Kamar Jorden finished with five receptions for 66 yards and a score for Calgary.

Lauther kicked field goals of 13 and 43 yards before Marshall returned an interception 67 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the first quarter to put Saskatchewan on top 14-0. Mitchell connected with Daniels for a 45-yard TD early in the second to get Calgary on the board before Eguavoen blocked a punt and returned it 30 yards for a score to help the Roughriders build a 24-6 lead at intermission.

Marshall took a direct snap three yards for a touchdown to stretch Saskatchewan's advantage to 25 points before Mitchell threw scoring strikes of 32 and 29 yards to Jorden and Juwan Brescacin, respectively, to help the Stampeders pull within 31-20 after three quarters. Lauther made a 22-yard field goal and tacked on 28-yarder to give the Roughriders some breathing room at 37-20 before Daniels caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell to give Calgary a glimmer of hope, but Lauther was on target once again from 37 yards to cap an impressive victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Roughriders have returned four interceptions for touchdowns in 2018, which is the second-most in franchise history. … Mitchell moved past Khari Jones (21,383 yards) for 30th place on the CFL's all-time passing list. … Calgary DB Emanuel Davis was ejected for rough play in the fourth quarter. … Saskatchewan DE Charleston Hughes recorded two sacks to raise his season total to a league-leading 11.
