Tiger-Cats 36, Argonauts 25: Jeremiah Masoli threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns as visiting Hamilton moved into a first-place tie in the East Division by beating Toronto for the second time in six days.

Masoli completed 18-of-25 passes and connected for two of his touchdowns with Brandon Banks, who totaled 153 yards on six catches for the Tiger-Cats (6-5) - winners of three straight games. Luke Tasker hauled in seven passes for 91 yards and a score while running back Alex Green added 104 yards from scrimmage and a key touchdown reception in the fourth quarter for Hamilton, which also defeated Toronto 42-28 on Monday.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson was 27-of-42 for 295 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the defending Grey Cup champion Argonauts (3-8), who have dropped three straight contests. Armanti Edwards made nine catches for 112 yards and a TD for Toronto, which also received a late 31-yard scoring strike from Bethel-Thompson to S.J. Green (eight receptions, 97 yards).

Masoli found Tasker in the right corner of the end zone for a 17-yard touchdown to open the scoring for the Tiger-Cats before Zackary Medeiros booted field goals of 36 and 22 yards to close the gap to 7-6 after one quarter. Masoli's 26-yard scoring strike to Banks and a rouge pushed Hamilton's lead to nine points, but Bethel-Thompson zipped a 10-yard TD pass to Edwards to pull the Argonauts within 15-13 at halftime.

Lirim Hajrullahu converted a 52-yard attempt and Masoli found Banks across the middle for a 78-yard touchdown to increase the Tiger-Cats' lead to 12 before James Franklin sneaked in from 2 yards away to cut the deficit to 25-19 after three quarters. Toronto punted on its first two possessions of the fourth quarter and Hamilton gave itself some breathing room on Green's 34-yard TD reception with 7:42 to go and another long field goal from Hajrullahu - this one from 50 yards out - for a 36-19 cushion.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Masoli has thrown for at least 300 yards nine times this season, tying the Tiger-Cats' franchise record set in 2013 by Henry Burris. … Argonauts WR Duron Carter, a two-time CFL All Star released by Saskatchewan last month, returned three kicks for 31 yards in his debut with the team after being signed as a free agent. … Toronto LB Marcus Ball (hamstring) was placed on the six-game injury list and Hamilton WR Jalen Saunders (knee), who has recorded 739 receiving yards this year, is likely out for the season after suffering the injury in the last game against the Argonauts. … Banks has registered at least 100 yards receiving in eight games this season and has recorded a career-high 1,033 this year.
