Jennings completed 19-of-30 passes and added 46 rushing yards after Travis Lulay separated his shoulder in the first quarter for the Lions (5-6), who scored 24 points off turnovers. Bryan Burnham hauled in five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown while T.J. Lee and Anthony Orange each added a defensive score for BC, which registered its first road win of the season following five previous losses.

Antonio Pipkin was limited to 95 yards on 11-of-22 passing with four interceptions and was sacked seven times as the Alouettes (3-9) were held to 168 yards of offence. Pipkin added 69 rushing yards while William Stanback finished with 52 on eight carries after missing the previous game with a pulled hamstring.

Jennings threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Burnham to put the Lions ahead 7-0 and Ty Long kicked a 25-yard field goal early in the second quarter to extend their lead to 10 points. Bede converted kicks from 46 and 29 yards to help the Alouettes pull within 10-6 at intermission.

Long connected on a 30-yarder to stretch BC's advantage to six before Chip Cox blocked a short field-goal attempt and Tevaughn Campbell returned the ball 87 yards for a touchdown to put Montreal in front for the first time at 14-13. Long atoned for his previous mistake by drilling a 45-yard kick, which put the Lions back on top 16-14, before Lee (37 yards) and Orange (54) each returned an interception for touchdown in the fourth quarter to cap an impressive defensive display.
