Lions 35, Tiger-Cats 32 (2OT): Jonathon Jennings threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns while Ty Long kicked the game-winning 39-yard field goal to lift BC past visiting Hamilton.
Jennings completed 32-of-47 passes in his first start since July 7 for the Lions (6-6), who have won three straight games. Bryan Burnham hauled in 10 passes for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Cory Watson added a TD reception for BC, which moved into a fourth-place tie with Winnipeg in the race for the crossover playoff spot.
Jeremiah Masoli was 19-of-25 for 311 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 37 yards on ground for the Tiger-Cats (6-7), who fell four points behind East Division-leading Ottawa. Mike Jones caught three passes for 138 yards and two scores while John White rushed for 62 yards and a TD for Hamilton, which has dropped six of its last seven trips to Vancouver.
White's 8-yard scoring run with 8:56 left in the second quarter capped an 8-play, 94-yard drive and put the Tiger-Cats in front 7-3 before Masoli found Jones over the top for a 75-yard touchdown to help the visitors build a 14-3 halftime lead. Jennings fired a 13-yard TD pass to Watson before finding Ricky Collins Jr. on the two-point conversion to pull the Lions within three before Hamilton responded with a 50-yard field goal from Lirim Hajrullahu to take a 17-11 advantage into the fourth quarter.
After Hajrullahu converted a 47-yard attempt to make it a two-score game, Long drilled a 50-yarder and Jennings threw an 8-yard scoring strike to Burnham with 2:26 remaining to put BC on top 21-20 before Jones hauled in a 55-yard touchdown pass to help give Hamilton a 29-21 advantage. Burnham made a 20-yard TD catch as time expired and dragged a foot inbounds on the untimed two-point conversion to force overtime, where the kickers traded field goals in the first session before Hajrullahu missed an attempt, which set the stage for Long's heroics.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Hamilton WR Brandon Banks, who leads the team in receptions (69) and receiving yards (1,033), missed his second straight game with a groin pull while RB Alex Green was sidelined with a shoulder issue. ... Burnham has caught at least one touchdown pass in five consecutive contests. ... Masoli set the franchise record for most 300-yard performances in a season with his 10th. ...
