Lions 18, Argonauts 17: Mike Reilly threw for 272 yards and a touchdown as visiting BC edged Toronto on a rouge as time expired to earn its first win of the season.

Reilly went 23-of-34 through the air while John White racked up 138 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Lions, who handed DeVone Claybrooks his first win as as coach after Sergio Castillo's last-second 42-yard field goal attempt went wide left but Toronto's Chris Rainey caught it and stepped out of bounds to make it a rouge. Lemar Durant hauled in nine passes for 125 yards and a touchdown for BC (1-3).

McLeod Bethel-Thompson completed 25-of-33 passes for 303 yards and touchdown in place of an injured James Franklin (hamstring) as the Argonauts fell to 0-3 for the first time since 2001. James Wilder Jr. accounted for 109 total yards and a touchdown for Toronto, which has dropped 12 of its last 13 games.

Drew Brown drilled a 31-yard field goal to give the Argonauts their first lead of the season before Castillo answered with a 14-yard kick to level matters at 3-3 heading into the halftime break. T.J. Lee recovered a fumble in Toronto territory and Reilly took full advantage as he hit Durant for a 29-yard touchdown to put BC on top 10-3 before Rainey returned a punt 79 yards for score to pull the Argonauts within one before a missed extra point.

White rushed for a 3-yard touchdown to give the Lions their largest advantage at 17-9 early in the fourth quarter and they stuffed Wilder on a 3rd-and-2 gamble to maintain their cushion with just over 10 minutes remaining. Wilder turned a short pass into a 24-yard TD reception and Bethel-Thompson found S.J. Green for the two-point conversion to tie the game with 40 seconds to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lions WR Bryan Burnham, who leads the team in receiving yards (280) and yards per reception (17.5), missed the game because of a lower-body injury. … Reilly became the 26th quarterback since 1950 to reach 100 regular-season starts. … Durant has caught a touchdown pass in four straight games since joining BC from the Calgary Stampeders in the offseason. … Rainey, who spent the previous four years with BC, has returned seven kicks for touchdowns in his CFL career.
