Eskimos 26, Argonauts 0: Trevor Harris threw for 298 yards and ran for a touchdown as Edmonton blanked visiting Toronto.

Harris completed 27-of-39 passes while Shaq Cooper rushed for 128 yards and a TD in his first start of the season for the Eskimos (4-2), who recorded their first shutout since Sept. 26, 2014. Ricky Collins Jr. caught six passes for 82 yards and Tevaun Smith gained 53 yards on five receptions for Edmonton, which has won five straight home games dating back to last season.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson was limited to 90 yards on 6-of-18 passing with an interception for the Argonauts, who fell to 0-6 for the first time since 1981. Derel Walker hauled in five passes for 85 yards while Justin Herdman-Reed made a game-high 10 tackles for Toronto, which has dropped 13 consecutive road games.

Edmonton capitalized on an interception by Monshadrik Hunter as Harris scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to put the hosts on top after one quarter and Sean Whyte kicked a 21-yard field goal early in the second to stretch the lead to 10-0. Whyte connected from 47 yards out to increase the Eskimos' advantage, but the team missed an opportunity to pull further ahead after Harris' backwards lateral was recovered by Toronto's Cleyon Laing in the red zone late in the quarter.

Cooper powered his way into the end zone for a 4-yard score with 4:20 remaining in the third quarter that gave Edmonton a 20-point cushion and Whyte booted a 37-yarder near the midway point of the final period to make it 23-0. Whyte capped the scoring with a 39-yard kick as Edmonton climbed within two points of Winnipeg for the top spot in the West Division.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harris became the 36th player in CFL history to surpass 20,000 passing yards. … Edmonton WR DaVaris Daniels (lower body) and RB C.J. Gable (undisclosed) both were inactive after they were put on the 1-game injured list ahead of Thursday's clash. … Toronto's Corey Chamblin has lost 15 consecutive games as a head coach after going 0-9 with Saskatchewan in 2015. … Toronto QB Dakota Prukop was 8-of-13 for 68 yards and a pair of interceptions in relief of Bethel-Thompson.
