Evans completed 23-of-32 passes in his second start since Jeremiah Masoli went down with a season-ending knee injury and Banks hauled in both touchdown tosses for the Tiger-Cats (6-2), who improved to 5-0 at home in 2019. Banks finished with 137 yards on nine catches, Frankie Williams brought back a kickoff for a touchdown and Richard Leonard sealed the win with an interception in the final minute.

Mike Reilly was 21-of-28 for 306 yards with two interceptions and a pair of touchdown passes to the veteran Bryan Burnham, who gained 149 yards on seven catches to lead the Lions (1-7). John White rushed 15 times for 124 yards - his second triple-digit effort this season - and two scores for BC, which has surrendered 151 points during its four-game losing streak.

Evans connected with Banks for a 32-yard touchdown to end the game's first drive, but Burnham hauled in a 47-yard scoring pass from Reilly to get BC within 8-6 after one quarter. White ran 20 yards for a TD to put the Lions ahead 13-11 before Williams took the ensuing kickoff back 108 yards to the end zone, but White's 2-yard touchdown run and a single gave BC a 21-19 halftime advantage.

Reilly scored from 1 yard out to end a long first drive of the second half and connected with Burnham for a 4-yard touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter to push the Lions' lead to 34-19. After Lirim Hajrullahu's 13-yard field goal, David Watford ran 1 yard for a TD with 3:19 remaining to pull the Tiger-Cats within 34-28 and Williams returned a punt 57 yards to set up the winning score.
