Alouettes 40, Stampeders 34 (OT): Vernon Adams Jr. threw two touchdown passes before running for a pair of 1-yard scores in overtime as visiting Montreal rallied from an 11-point deficit in the final minute of regulation to beat Calgary.

Adams returned after missing a game with a concussion to complete 32-of-50 passes for 389 yards and DeVier Posey had 10 receptions for 181 yards to lead Montreal (4-4), which snapped its nine-game losing streak at Calgary. Jeremiah Johnson rushed for 107 yards while Jake Wieneke and Eugene Lewis (10 catches, 114 yards) made TD catches for the Alouettes, who stopped the Stampeders on downs to end the second overtime period.

Nick Arbuckle was 31-of-36 for 370 yards and four touchdowns - all to Reggie Begelton, who had eight receptions for 173 yards to lead Calgary (5-4). Don Jackson rushed for 77 yards in his first contest since late June due to a concussion for the Stampeders, who had first-and-goal at the 10 on their second possession of overtime before a sack and two incompletions sealed their fate.

Begelton took a flip from Arbuckle and ran around right end for an 8-yard score to help the Stampeders seize an 8-3 lead and Rene Paredes booted 10- and 27-yard field goals as Calgary carried a 14-6 advantage into intermission. Adams connected with Wieneke for a 15-yard score and Boris Bede converted a 17-yard attempt to give Montreal a 17-14 edge, but Arbuckle aired out a 56-yard touchdown pass to Begelton on the third play of the fourth quarter as the Stampeders moved back in front.

Arbuckle found a wide-open Begelton for a 69-yard score with just under 10 minutes to play in regulation to extend the lead to 11 points, but Adams hit Lewis for 23-yard score with 38 seconds left and the Alouettes recovered an onside kick before Bede tied it with a 27-yard field goal with two seconds remaining. Begelton hauled in a 7-yard TD toss from Arbuckle to start overtime and Adams answered with the first of his two 1-yard runs, but both teams missed on their mandatory two-point conversion attempts.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Calgary QB Bo Levi Mitchell, who was expected to return to the lineup Saturday after missing the previous six games with a torn pectoral muscle injury, remained out due to soreness. … Alouettes RB William Stanback (heel), who leads the team in rushing (592 yards), missed his second straight game. … Calgary DB Tre Roberson recorded his sixth interception of the season and first since registering five over his first three contests. … Montreal's last win at McMahon Stadium in Calgary was at the 2009 Grey Cup, when it edged Saskatchewan 28-27.
