Stampeders 33, Eskimos 17: Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 254 yards and a pair of first-half touchdowns as visiting Calgary defeated Edmonton to finish a sweep of their three-game season series.

Mitchell completed 25-of-40 of his passes with three interceptions, but tossed touchdown strikes to Reggie Begelton and Eric Rogers for the Stampeders (7-4), who moved into a tie for second with Saskatchewan in the West Division. Begelton finished with seven receptions for 88 yards and Rogers added another 78 yards on six catches to lead Calgary.

Logan Kilgore went 21-of-28 through the air for 242 yards and ran for a score in relief of starter Trevor Harris (3-for-5, nine yards and a touchdown), who left the game after the first quarter with an upper-body injury for Edmonton (6-6). C.J. Gable accumulated 126 yards from scrimmage and Greg Ellingson hauled in six passes for 82 yards to lead the Eskimos, who have dropped three straight games.

Harris connected with Tevaun Smith for an 8-yard scoring strike to give the Eskimos an early lead before Rene Paredes converted an 18-yard field goal late in the first quarter and Mitchell found Begelton for a 25-yard touchdown pass early in the second. Sean Whyte tied it for Edmonton with a 10-yard field goal before Mitchell's 11-yard TD pass to Rogers gave the Stampeders a 17-10 lead at intermission.

Paredes converted field goals from 46 and 27 yards to extend Calgary's lead to 23-10 through three quarters and added a 43-yard kick 36 seconds into the fourth. The Stampeders put the finishing touches on the win when DaShaun Amos picked off a Kilgore pass and returned it 79 yards for the score to push the lead to 23 with just under 10 minutes to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harris' streak of consecutive games with at least 20 completions came to an end Saturday, remaining tied with Ricky Ray for the CFL record at 24. … Calgary DB Brandon Smith has 610 career tackles after recording four Saturday, passing Kelly Wiltshire (609) for 16th on the CFL's all-time list. … Begelton took over the league lead with a career-high 930 receiving yards. … Mitchell went over 3,000 pass attempts in his career Saturday. … Edmonton LB Larry Dean had a game-high 12 tackles. … Whyte is 13-of-13 on field goals in his last four games.
