Argonauts 28, Redblacks 21: McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Toronto handed visiting Ottawa its eighth consecutive loss.

Bethel-Thompson completed 27-of-36 passes with his scoring strikes going to Armanti Edwards, who finished with five catches for 54 yards as the Argonauts (3-12) clinched the season series with their East Division rival. Veteran S.J. Green hauled in 10 passes for 170 yards to become the 18th player in CFL history to reach 10,000 yards in his career as Toronto snapped its three-game losing streak.

Will Arndt was 28-of-42 for 288 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions as the Redblacks (3-12) lost for the 12th time in 13 games after starting the season with a pair of wins. R.J. Harris made seven catches for 96 yards and a TD while Dominique Rhymes had five receptions for 70 yards and a score for Ottawa, which was eliminated from playoff contention.

The Redblacks grabbed the early lead as Lewis Ward converted a 47-yard field-goal attempt to end the first drive of the game, but Tyler Crapigna tied it with a 19-yarder and the Argonauts took control late in the second quarter. James Franklin's quarterback sneak with less than four minutes remaining in the first half gave Toronto the lead for good and Bethel-Thompson connected with Edwards for a 15-yard score 9 seconds before intermission for a 17-3 advantage.

Arndt got Ottawa within seven points early in the third quarter with an 8-yard TD pass to Harris, but Bethel-Thompson hit Edwards with a 10-yard scoring strike and Crapigna added a 33-yard field goal as the Argonauts took a 27-10 lead into the fourth. Arndt's 15-yard TD pass to Rhymes with 2:38 left helped cut the Redblacks' deficit to 10 and, after they recovered an onside kick, Ward kicked a 50-yard field goal, but Toronto held on from there.
