Wild 3, Panthers 2: Charlie Coyle snapped a tie with 8:22 remaining in the third period as host Minnesota extended its point streak to seven games.

Jason Pominville recorded a goal and an assist while Zach Parise also scored for the Wild, who are 6-0-1 this month. Captain Mikko Koivu set up a pair of tallies and Josh Harding made 22 saves to improve to 9-0-0 at home.

Tomas Kopecky and Jonathan Huberdeau scored for the Panthers, who have won only one of their last 11 contests (1-6-4).

Minnesota entered the third period with a 2-0 lead, but Kopecky converted a feed from Jesse Winchester following a turnover in front of the net at 3:31 and Huberdeau forged a tie with his fourth of the season less than six minutes later. The Wild moved ahead for good when Koivu made a pass from behind the net to Coyle, who beat Tim Thomas (17 saves) from the doorstep.

Parise opened the scoring 4:59 into the game by converting a power-play opportunity for his 10th tally. Pominville, who helped set up Parise's score, doubled the lead with one of his own at 13:38.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wild, who have won five straight at home, have earned at least one point in 11 of their last 12 overall games (9-1-2). ... Florida fell to 1-3-0 under interim coach Peter Horachek. ... The Panthers, who fell to 0-8-1 on the road since winning their season opener in Dallas, have yet to capture two games in a row.
