Guard play is vital come NCAA Tournament time and Clemson coach Brad Brownell knows he has two of the best in Marcquise Reed and Shelton Mitchell. The redshirt seniors bailed out the 23rd-ranked Tigers against Sam Houston State and now look to carry Clemson to a fourth straight win to start the season when it plays undefeated Akron in the first round of the Cayman Islands Classic on Monday.

Georgia at Illinois St. 1:30 PM ET

Georgia first-year coach Tom Crean is in the process of speeding up the pace of play for the Bulldogs, mirroring his highly successful teams at Indiana and Marquette. That process continues when Georgia plays a talented Illinois State team in the first round of the Cayman Islands Classic on Monday.

After making an early statement with a convincing win over Washington, No. 12 Auburn looks to take another step forward at this week’s Maui Invitational – starting with Monday’s matchup against Xavier. Off to its third 3-0 start in the last 12 seasons, the Tigers averaged 97.3 points while dominating the boards in wins over South Alabama, Washington and Mississippi College.
Duke at San Diego St. 4:30 PM ET
After looking virtually unstoppable through its first three games, No. 3 Duke could face its first test of the young season at this week’s Maui Invitational, which includes ranked teams such as Auburn and Gonzaga. The Blue Devils begin play Monday against San Diego State, which has reached the NCAA Tournament in seven of the past nine seasons.
Oregon St. at Pennsylvania 5:30 PM ET
Tres Tinkle looks to record his fourth consecutive double-double as Oregon State takes on Pennsylvania in the third-place game of the Paradise Jam on Monday at St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The redshirt junior forward has struggled from 3-point range in the tournament, going 2-for-10, but scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in Sunday's 69-63 semifinal loss to Missouri.
Canisius at Florida State 7:00 PM ET
No. 15 Florida State returns home from a winning trip to Tulane to face Canisius of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Monday in the first round of the AdvoCare Invitational. The Seminoles are the nation's winningest team at home since the start of the 2016 season (32-2), while the Golden Griffins are coming off a 75-66 loss to Albany in their own home opener.
Missouri St. at Nebraska 7:00 PM ET
Nebraska was a surprising snub for an NCAA Tournament berth last season despite going 13-5 in the Big Ten and finishing in a tie for fourth place. The 25th-ranked Cornhuskers are off to a 3-0 start and will be out to pick up a couple of quality nonconference wins in the NABC Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, Mo., starting with Monday night's semifinal game with undefeated Missouri State.
Eastern Michigan at Rutgers 7:00 PM ET
Rutgers will try to shake off an ugly loss as it hosts Eastern Michigan as part of the Hub City Classic on Monday evening. The Scarlet Knights were thoroughly dominated on their home court by St. John’s on Friday night, losing 84-65 in a game where the Red Storm knocked down 16 3-pointers.
Texas Rio Grande Valley at East Carolina 7:00 PM ET
East Carolina is entering the portion of its schedule that should produce a much-needed winning streak, beginning with Monday's game against visiting Texas-Rio Grande Valley. The Pirates sit at 2-2 following Friday's blowout loss at Georgia Tech but do not face an opponent of that caliber, including the Vaqueros, until they open conference play in early January.

St. John's aims to stay unbeaten Monday when it faces California in the semifinals of the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Red Storm are off to a 3-0 start, while the Golden Bears have not played in almost a week due to a recent game cancellation.

Boise State rebounded nicely from an embarrassing opening-night loss. Creighton will attempt to erase the memory of a late-game meltdown of its own when it faces off against the Broncos on Monday in the first round of the Cayman Islands Classic.

Missouri at Kansas State 7:30 PM ET
Two old rivals from the Big 8 will match up far from home when 11th-ranked Kansas State takes on Missouri in the championship game of the Paradise Jam on Monday in St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It will be the 237th all-time meeting and first since 2015, when Kansas State won its fourth straight in the series over the Tigers.
St. Francis (PA) at North Carolina 8:00 PM ET

Coach Roy Williams went from fuming to “pretty doggone pleased” in a matter of days, and seventh-ranked North Carolina will try to preserve his good mood when it hosts St. Francis (Pa.) on Monday in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational. The Tar Heels had a bit of trouble pulling away from Wofford in their season opener, but they’ve breezed through their last three contests - including a 108-58 thrashing of Tennessee Tech on Friday. 

Liberty at Vanderbilt 8:00 PM ET
Highly-touted freshman guard Darius Garland can help Vanderbilt even when he's not scoring in bunches. Garland, who averaged 21.5 points in his first two games, looks to lead the Commodores to a 4-0 record when they host undefeated Liberty on Monday.
Northwestern St. at Houston 8:00 PM ET
High-scoring Houston will try to win its 18th straight home game when it hosts Northwestern State on Monday. The Cougars' streak - with all the games played at Texas Southern's H&PE Arena - ties Montana for nation's third-longest streak and trails South Dakota State (23) and Charleston (18).
Little Rock at Tulsa 8:00 PM ET
Tulsa looks to stay unbeaten this season when it hosts Little Rock in a non-conference matchup Monday. The Golden Hurricane are coming off a narrow home victory over California Baptist on Friday while Little Rock suffered its first loss of the season on the same night, falling to No. 9 Nevada.
Arizona at Iowa State 9:00 PM ET
Known as someone who can be hard to please, Arizona coach Sean Miller appears fairly content with his team’s 3-0 start. The Wildcats look to remain unbeaten on Monday, when they begin play at the Maui Invitational against short-handed Iowa State, which also is 3-0 despite missing several players due to injury and suspension.
Wyoming at Boston College 9:00 PM ET
The Fort Myers Tip-Off is not going as planned for Boston College as it went 1-1 on campus to open the tournament, including a stunning 76-69 loss to IUPUI on Wednesday. The Eagles will look to rebound and notch their third win in four games this season as they take on Wyoming on Monday evening in Fort Myers, Fla.
Cal Poly SLO at Washington St. 9:00 PM ET
Washington State will look to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it hosts Cal Poly in a non-conference matchup Monday. The Cougars fell 78-69 at Seattle University on Wednesday, while Cal Poly has had more than a week off after their contest against Sacramento State scheduled for last Friday was postponed due to poor air quality related to the California fires.

Temple and VCU, two teams that are a combined 7-0 on the young season, will engage in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Monday in the semifinals of the Legends Classic. VCU has yet to allow more than 61 points in a game, while Temple has not been held under 75 points this year.
California Baptist at Nevada 10:00 PM ET
Ninth-ranked Nevada concludes a season-opening four-game homestand on Monday night when it hosts Division I newcomer California Baptist. It will the final home game for almost a month for Eric Musselman's squad which plays its next five games away from the Lawlor Events Center, including road games at the team that knocked them out of the Elite Eight last season, Loyola Chicago, as well as Pac-12 runner-up USC.
Mississippi State at Arizona State 11:00 PM ET
Two teams riding season-opening three-games win streaks will play their first road games of the year as No. 19 Mississippi State will face Arizona State Monday night in Las Vegas as part of the MGM Resorts Main Event. The Bulldogs and Sun Devils each played Long Beach State in their last game, coming away with 28 and 32 point victories, respectively.
Presbyterian at UCLA 11:00 PM ET
Moses Brown has only played three games, but already he is evoking some of the great names of the past for No. 20 UCLA, which will take on visiting Presbyterian on Monday as part of the Las Vegas Invitational. The freshman is doing things not seen since the days of Jelani McCoy, David Greenwood and the great Lew Alcindor for the Bruins, who will head to Las Vegas after facing the Blue Hose.
