Preview Roundups
March 10, 2019
Detroit at Florida 5:00 PM ET
The Florida Panthers finally halted a frustrating six-game skid with a lopsided victory Friday night and will try to make it two straight wins against one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. Sitting nine points out of the second wild card, the Panthers cannot afford to stumble when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night.
Winnipeg at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Capitals are finding their rhythm at the perfect time entering Sunday’s home contest against the Winnipeg Jets as the defending Stanley Cup champions bring a six-game winning streak into the matchup. The Capitals moved into sole possession of first place in the Metropolitan Division with Friday’s 3-0 victory over New Jersey, as goaltender Braden Holtby continued his masterful work during Washington’s surge toward the postseason with his fifth straight victory.
Boston at Pittsburgh 7:30 PM ET
Dramatic comebacks are becoming the norm for the Boston Bruins, who will take the second-longest point streak in franchise history into Sunday night's clash at the Pittsburgh Penguins. Boston completed a 6-0-0 homestand with a 3-2 victory over Ottawa on Saturday night to give them points in 19 consecutive games (15-0-4).
Vegas at Calgary 9:30 PM ET
The slumping Calgary Flames will try to regain first place in the Pacific Division - and their scoring touch - when they host the red-hot Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday. Calgary, which has produced five goals while matching a season high with four straight losses after Thursday's 2-0 setback at Arizona, is one point behind San Jose and eight ahead of Vegas.
Los Angeles at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks look to build on their best offensive performance of the season and earn a fourth win in five games when they host the Pacific Division-rival Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night. The Ducks, who are last in the league in goals per game (2.26) and sit double-digit points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference, rolled to an 8-2 victory over Montreal on Friday.
