Preview Roundups
November 19, 2018
Columbus at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs aim to continue the momentum of their first three-game road sweep in the Golden State since the 1995-96 season on Monday when the Columbus Blue Jackets pay a visit to Scotiabank Arena. The Maple Leafs have outscored the opposition 27-12 while winning six of their last seven, capped by a 2-1 overtime victory in Anaheim on Friday.
Dallas at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers got off to a rough start at home this season, losing three of their first five, but have been unstoppable ever since. The Rangers seek their sixth straight win at Madison Square Garden when they continue their three-game homestand Monday against the Dallas Stars.
Buffalo at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres are in the midst of their longest winning streak in over six years and largest 20-game point total since 2009-10 while the Pittsburgh Penguins have plummeted to the bottom of the Metropolitan Division following a dismal 1-7-1 stretch. The Sabres bid for their sixth straight victory on Monday when they visit the slumping Penguins, who are 3-5-1 at PPG Paints Arena.
Washington at Montreal 7:30 PM ET
The injury-plagued Washington Capitals look to complete a winning road trip when they visit the improving Montreal Canadiens on Monday night. The Capitals were without top-six forwards T.J. Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov due to head injuries, along with No. 1 goalie Braden Holtby (upper body), as they grinded out a 3-2 victory on Nicklas Backstrom’s overtime goal at Colorado on Friday.
Florida at Ottawa 7:30 PM ET
Mike Hoffman knows his franchise-record point streak will end one day, but he wants nothing more than to extend it at least one more game. Hoffman aims to land on the scoresheet for a 16th straight contest when the Florida Panthers continue their six-game road trip on Monday against his former team in the Ottawa Senators.
Los Angeles at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues struggled to locate their offense during their just-completed three-game road trip, getting shut out on two occasions to return to Enterprise Center for Monday's contest against the Los Angeles Kings with their tail between their legs. The Blues answered a 4-1 win at Vegas on Friday with a 4-0 setback in San Jose the following night to fall to 1-3-0 in their last four outings.
Tampa Bay at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators look to continue their mastery in the series when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night in a battle of the top two teams in the NHL. The Predators are 8-0-2 in the last 10 meetings with the Lightning after earning a 4-1 win on Nov. 1 as goalie Pekka Rinne improved to 8-0-1 against Tampa Bay with 42 saves in his first game back from injury.
Vegas at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
Elias Lindholm is making quite an impression in his first season with the Calgary Flames as he shares the team lead with 21 points. The 23-year-old Swedish forward hopes to take sole possession of the top spot when the Flames continue their four-game homestand Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Winnipeg at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets found their rhythm in gaining seven points during a four-game homestand, and now look to carry that into a four-game road trip starting Monday against the Vancouver Canucks. The Jets, who won three times at home before losing in a shootout versus Buffalo on Friday, prepare to play seven of their next nine games on the road.
